Just, healthy and green? Exploring the nexus of SDGs 1, 2 and 13 and transformative approaches like climate-smart school meal programs
Building on this year’s HLPF focus on SDG 1 (no poverty), SDG 2 (zero hunger) and SDG 13 (climate action), the side event will showcase two distinct pathways for integrated solutions: School meal programs and “true cost accounting” for food systems
While it is an integral part of the 2030 Agenda and a basic understanding that the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can only be delivered in an integrated manner, best practice examples for systematic integrated implementation are still rare. This event will explore the transformative potential of school meal programs and true cost accounting for food systems, highlighting their role in systemic change.
