Workshop

Public policy workshop on climate neutrality and food security

Discussion on solutions for climate-neutral farming that ensure food security.

On 8 July 2022 from 10:00 – 12:30 CEST, join the first online public policy workshop of the Horizon 2020 funded EU project ClieNFarms (Climate Neutral Farms) to discuss solutions for climate neutral farming while ensuring food security.
The online workshop will feature inspiring talks from Alexander Müller, Founder & Managing Director, TMG Think Tank for Sustainability and Nathalie Bolduc, Research fellow, Agricultural and food policies, IDDRI. These will be followed by a high-level policy debate with representatives of the European Commission, COPA-COGECAEEB and IFOAM Organics Europe.
Objective of the workshop
The war in Ukraine has put food security in the centre of the political debate. While availability and affordability of food is a top priority for all, increasing production at the expense of the environment is not the solution. We need to make our food production systems less reliant from external inputs (fossil fuel, fertilisers, imported feed, etc.) and more resilient.
In this workshop, we will shed light on this debate and discuss solutions for climate-neutral farming while ensuring food security.
