Food security is not only a rural issue. It can also be difficult for urban populations to come by varied, nutritious and adequate diets. Yet solutions to the challenges of food insecurity can be found in cities too, through small and medium-scale urban farming, often organised on a collaborative basis by local communities.

Farm to Fork is a short documentary film produced by one of the partners of TMG's Urban Food Futures programme in Cape Town, South Africa. Visiting small-scale farmers in Gugulethu and Ocean View, two neighbourhoods in the urban periphery, the explores how community led small-scale farming groups are using food local production to build community resilience.
