Finding the ‘True Value’ of Food Can Drive Innovation Across Sectors

A new article on True Cost Accounting (TCA) has been published in the Stanford Social Innovation Review (SSIR). Written by Alexander Müller and Ruth Richardson, it shows how identifying positive and harmful externalities in our food systems can make it possible to drive change in sectors as disparate as climate, public health, and poverty reduction.
Framing true cost accounting as a tool able to make food systems transformation visible, the article reports on the findings from a study conducted by TMG and the Global Alliance for the Future of Food.
