One of the core messages contained in our recently-published series of reports exploring the transformation agri-food systems is the central role of the three "Rio Conventions" (focusing on land, climate and biodiversity respectively) in tackling the negative impacts of unsustainable food production and consumption. In this open letter, TMG's Managing Director Alexander Müller invites the heads of the three Convention secretariats and other multilateral environmental institutions to jointly explore how to strengthen global food system governance at a time of multiple and interlinked global crises (4Cs).
