European Sustainable Agriculture Dialogue
Against the background of the European Commission's decision to create a “New Green Deal” to deliver a climate-neutral Europe by 2050, the European Sustainable Agriculture Dialogue project at TMG seeks to build on Germany’s experiences and needs to define a set of research priorities for climate-proofing European agriculture. It further explores how these research priorities can support the achievement of Germany’s commitments under the Paris Agreement on climate change, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals.
The project is implemented under the auspices of the Horizon Europe research programme, with a view to contributing towards a consensus on research priorities for climate-resilient agriculture that can be further adapted to the local context in different EU countries. The resulting recommendations will inform the European Commission's research and innovation agenda for promoting sustainable agriculture in the region.
