Kenya Agroecology Actors Dashboard

A digital tool for agroecology actors across Kenya to strengthen coordination and alignment

The Kenya Agroecology Actors Dashboard is an interactive, data-driven digital tool designed to map, connect, and amplify the diverse actors driving agroecology forward across the nation. Developed by TMG Research, in collaboration with CIFOR-ICRAF and GIZ, this tool fosters collaboration, transparency, and shared learning across the country’s agroecology community, ultimately supporting the implementation of the National Agroecology Strategy for Food Systems Transformation (NAS-FST).In all 47 counties of Kenya, dozens of actors—from farmer networks and NGOs to county governments and research institutions—are implementing agroecological practices. Yet, until now, their collective contributions have often gone unrecorded and disconnected, limiting opportunities for coordination and shared learning. The dashboard addresses this gap by providing a single platform for voluntary reporting and information exchange between actors regardless of size or location.Through regular updates and contributions from actors, the dashboard offers:Comprehensive mapping of actors and initiatives at national and county levelsCustom filtering by geographic scope, actor type, and strategic area of engagementInsights on contributions toward NAS-FST objectives and progress indicatorsReal-time monitoring of agroecology activities, trends, and partnershipsBy bringing these data together in one place, the Kenya Agroecology Actors Dashboard enables:Better coordination and alignment of efforts across sectors and countiesGreater visibility of local and national initiativesMore effective collaboration and partnerships through shared knowledge and networkingInclusive and accountable governance of agroecological transformation processesUltimately, the dashboard aims to strengthen the cohesion, accountability, and impact of Kenya’s agroecology community, helping turn fragmented efforts into a coordinated national movement toward sustainable, resilient, and equitable food systems.Use the dashboard here.
