Lindiwe Sibanda
Lindiwe Majele-Sibanda is an accomplished academic and policy adviser to numerous African governments, and regional and global institutions. She joined the CGIAR System Board in April 2021 and co-chairs the Global Alliance for Climate-Smart Agriculture. She also advises several food-based corporates on sustainability and inclusion issues, notably Infinite Foods and Nestlé. She has held leadership positions with numerous regional institutions and academic networks, including the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) and the Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources Policy Analysis Network (FANRPAN). Majele-Sibanda has received numerous awards for her contributions to advancing food and nutrition security, as well as climate resilience programmes. She holds a PhD in Animal Sciences from the University of Reading.
