Dr. Pierrette Herzberger-Fofana has represented Bündnis 90/Die Grünen in the European Parliament since 2019. In the parliament she is First Vice-Chair of the Committee on Development and the Delegation for Relations with the Pan-African Parliament, Co-President of the parliament's Anti-Racism and Diversity Intergroup, and a member of the Delegation to the Cariforum-EU Parliamentary Committee. After growing up in Senegal she studied linguistics and literature in Paris, Trier and Nuremberg.
