This session explores efforts by two UNCCD civil society partners (TMG Research and Landesa) to support efforts in line with Decision 27/COP15. As recognized by Parties in these decisions, advocacy and accountability are critical to advancing women's land rights, which are a fundamental aspect of achieving restoration goals and climate justice more broadly. Putting justice in the hands of communities and local organisations not only improves local redress mechanisms, but also strengthens government accountability for meeting commitments.
