Michael Windfuhr

Michael Windfuhr was elected in 2016 and 2020 as a member of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. He holds various advisory roles and board positions in German government and civil society, and has been deputy director of the German Institute for Human Rights (DIM) since 2011. He was head of the human rights team at Brot für die Welt (2006-2010) and held various positions at FIAN International between 1986 and 2006.
