Dr Ulf Jaeckel studied business administration with a focus on controlling and holds a doctorate in environmental economics. He has worked at the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection since 1994. From 2006 to 2022, Dr Jaeckel was head of Division ‘Sustainable Consumption, Environmental Product Policy’. Since 2022, he is Head of Division ‘European and International Adaption to Climate Change’. He is also the co-lead of the Consumer Information Programme of the United Nations 10 Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production and represents the Feder-al Government in various national and international fora.
