The expert dialogue will centre on the challenges of changing food environments by amplifying voices from the Global South and underscoring the critical role of women in the informal urban food sector, the role public procurement, urban agriculture and participatory innovations. The intention is to ensure that diverse perspectives, often underrepresented in global discussions, are brought to the forefront, emphasizing the need for inclusive policies that consider the diverse contexts and stakeholders involved in the global food system. These discussions will contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the complexities in urban food transformations and facilitate the development of recommendations for a sustainable and equitable future.
